I am SO grateful for the wonderful organization 'Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep'. They were contacted by our bereavement coordinator at the hospital and they came and took beautiful pictures of Jackson. This is such an amazing service they give to angel moms. Those pictures are some of my most prized possessions! They will be cherished by our family forever. Heidi V., who was our amazing photographer, took part in this recruiting/promotional video for the organization. They are desperately trying to recruit more photographers. If you or anyone you know is a photographer, please look into volunteering. It breaks my heart that some families don't get an opportunity to have their angel photographed because their isn't enough photographers. It really is a priceless gift that you can give a family who has lost a baby. There is a link to their website at the side of this blog.
This is a really great video about the organization. I have had the opportunity to meet several of these amazing women featured in the video and hear their stories. It has been so nice finding other's I can relate to in my suffering.
There is a picture of my little Jackson in the slideshow at the end of the video . . .

This video is so touching! Thank you for sharing it. Do you know if they take and train amateur photographers to volunteer? I've always loved photography ad had a knack for it, but Ive never taken a photography class. I have also always wanted to get into photography. And watching this video moved me so much! I would love to volunteer and find out more about it.
They could really use your help! I believe they are willing to train and coach new photographers and have them 'tag along' on 'angel' sessions until they are ready to shoot on their own. If you are interested I could get you in touch with the right people! :)
That is great to know! Yes, I would definitely be interested in it!! :) Let me know! Thanks, Kim.
