Mother's Day

     I think we often fail to recognize so many different women on Mother's Day.  The term 'mother' can be rather subjective.  There are many people who are 'mothers' without children to raise and there are many women with children who aren't necessarily 'mothers'.  I know Mother's Day can be a difficult day for so many women who have infertility issues or who have 'angel' children.  My heart goes out to them and I think of them often.  Mother's Day has taken on a whole new meaning for me.  I realize that you don't need to have all your children or even any children with you here to be considered a good 'mother'.  I think the name should be changed to 'women's day' or something so we can recognize all these great women out there who long to be mothers but haven't been given the opportunity.
   I am looking forward to Mother's Day this year and I will be thinking of ALL my children.  I also plan to keep in mind all my dear friends and relatives who long to conceive a child or who have 'angel children'.  They are all wonderful 'mothers' to me!
